DreamWeavers has raised over $42,000 that they have donated to Relay for Life.

More Than Just a Dance Studio

The goal of DreamWeavers is to build confidence in children and young adults by enhancing self-esteem and fostering a positive environment that promotes active community involvement.  DreamWeavers dancers strive to not only better themselves but to also give back to the community.  This is displayed in a variety of ways including mentoring, volunteering, and providing entertainment at community events and fundraisers.  The studio is a proud team sponsor for Relay for life.  This has become the most passionate fundraiser to the dancers.  This passion comes from the loss of two very special dance instructors in the county and having watched their studio owner win her battle against cancer.  The entire studio; dancers, parents, grandparents, and extended family members support the studio by volunteering.  Over the studio's years, DreamWeavers has raised over $42,000 for the cause.

Other community involvement includes volunteering at the local Migrant Summer School where dancers teach choreography to underserved and at-risk students, collecting over 100 toys for children at Noah’s house in, and the Rutherford County Backpack program.

Past Relay for Life Events

DreamWeavers Dance Studio is a big supporter of the Rutherford County Backpack Program.  This program helps to send home backpacks full of food over weekends and holiday breaks for students in need in our county schools. The students of DreamWeavers raise money as well as collected canned foods to contribute to this program.

DreamWeavers Dance Studio encourgaes students to reach a total number of community serivce hours (depending on the age of the student) by the end of recital each year.  If they reach their required number of hours, they will recieve the Joanna Nichols Scholarship Award.  This award is in memory of our dear dance teacher who was exrememly active in her community and always believed in helping others.
